STUDENT ACTIVITIES

After-School Program

The Wichita Public Schools, the Wichita YMCA, and Youth AAA, offer After-School Programs in 16 of our 18 middle schools.  The Program keeps our youth in a safe and structured environment while providing mandatory academics during the first session, followed by enrichment and recreational activities in the second session.

* Homework Help and Tutoring
* Field Trips
* Snacks
* Enrichment & Cultural Activities
* Recreational Activities
* Early College Awareness Activities
* Science & Technology Opportunities

2006-2007 Hours and Information
*Our program is open Monday-Thursday. (No Program on Fridays.)
*The program runs from the time school is dismissed until 5:00
*We are not open on days when school is closed, including holidays,
  In-service days, and inclement weather days.
*Some late bus transportation is available at 5:00 if your student rides the bus to school. (Check late bus schedule at your student’s individual school.)

2006-2007 Days of Operation
1st Semester—  September 18 - December 14
2nd Semester— January 16 - May 3

HOW DO I REGISTER?
You can pick up a registration form in your student’s school office or you can print one  from our website at:  www.usd259.com/afterschool. Just complete the form and then turn it into your student’s school office.
