Athletics
About
In order to participate in athletic competitions, students must meet academic and behavior guidelines. Academic eligibility is established by the Kansas State High School Activities Association and their coaches. A student must have passed 5 classes of unit weight the previous quarter in order to participate. A current sport's pre-participation physical evaluation (sports physical, concussion form, emergency and insurance information) dated after May 1 must be on file before a student is allowed to try out. All athletes will need to complete the online registration on Rank One before they can participate in a sport. Almost all the forms you will need can now be signed electronically. Please use the most current physical form attached.
Spectator Expectations
Spectators who display inappropriate behavior at games will be excluded from future athletic contests and possibly removed from the current event. All students must be picked up promptly after the competition with arrangements made ahead of time. Late pickups may cause the student to be banned from future events.
Students:
- must report to the gym by 3:15, or they will not be admitted to the game. Students may not go to their lockers after the game. Students should take care of all personal needs before entering the gym. They must stay behind the “out of bounds” line when entering and exiting the gym.
- will have a ride here to pick them up within 10 minutes of the completion of the last game. Students who do not have a ride within a reasonable amount of time will not be allowed to attend future after school events.
- will abide by the Robinson Dress Code while in attendance of the game.
- must sit in the Robinson student seating section and keep the seat they choose throughout the entire game. They are to remain seated in the bleachers during the game except during a cheer and must sit down when the cheer is over. Stomping is not allowed.
- must be respectful and courteous at all times. Booing is never allowed. Students must remain quiet while all players are serving the ball or shooting a free-throw.
- may visit the concession stand and/or use the restroom at half time and/or in between games only. Students cannot bring food or drink into the gym.
- who decide to leave early from a game may do so at halftime or in between games. Once you leave, you may not return.
- Any student who, because of their failure to adhere to the preceding rules, can be asked to leave a game. Any student who is ejected from a game forfeits their opportunity to attend any future games.
